Do 3 sets of the following workout. Once you get through all of the drills (including the medball jump squats to press, start over again…do this 3 times. Focus on quality mechanics and remind yourself what you are working on before every rep. Remember you, you are learning! Don’t expect perfection, allow yourself to learn!

Start in your stance with the ball in your glove. Work on pushing your palm to you ear and getting to the power position.

Do 10 Reps

Put your glove back on and have someone front toss the ball to you, working on letting the ball get deep in the zone, getting under the ball when you receive it and push your palm to your ear for a quick transfer.

This is the same drill as the ‘Glove Turn & Transfer’ Drill with the exception the ball is tossed at you.

Do 10 Reps.

Start in the power throwing position, balancing on your back leg (right leg). From this position push hard off of your back leg toward your target (explode!) and pull your glove hard from your ear to your armpit as you come forward. This drill works on tapping into ALL of your power in your throw. Don’t forget to admire your throw!!

Start with the ball in your glove and throw all of the way through without a pause at flamingo. Focus on a quick palm to ear glove turn, and using your legs and glove pull for power as you come forward. Don’t forget what 2 things have to be turned to your target when you throw… (instep of back foot and glove shoulder).

Do 10 Reps
